Revenge of the Pirates (Italian: La vendetta del corsaro) is a 1951 Italian adventure film directed by Primo Zeglio. It was the last movie of Maria Montez. It is also known as The Pirates Revenge.
At once with a view to avenging his father's death and liberating his sister, Count Enrico di Roccabruna decides one day to turn privateer. That is indeed the only way for him to be able to get rid of the governor of Cartagena, a faithless man who betrayed his father, caused his death and now holds his sister prisoner. Roccabruna's ship, the Folgore, soon becomes the terror of the Spanish navy and the pirate nobleman's life consists of a succession of bold acts of force and romantic adventures: duels, abductions, climbing castle walls, chases and escapes. At a time, Enrico even falls in love with a beautiful creature. But Consuelo, the widow of one of the governor's brothers, is the jealous kind and turns against her lover.—Guy Bellinger
