Cecilio Rubes, a businessman engaged in the manufacture of bathtubs and toilets, tries to remain neutral in the imminent Spanish civil war. But the attitude of his only child Cecil, a spoiled boy growing up not respecting his parents, forces him to face reality and cold facts.
