A woman witnesses a murder. She gets murdered right after, and her husband is the prime suspect of the crime.

In a fading seaside resort on the English coast a middle-aged woman (Harriet Penny) witnesses a murder and is then murdered herself. Her husband (Sam Penny) is accused of the crime. Their estranged son (Joshua Penny) returns home from university for the funeral and finds the police convinced of his father's guilt and unwilling to investigate the matter further.
