Night doctor Jakob Man is summoned by the wealthy director Holm, whose young wife Kirsten has apparently fallen down the stairs. Shortly after, he is contacted by Kirsten's mysterious friend Janice, who wants help. Slowly, Jakob Man is caught up in a devilish intrigue.—DR
