Christopher wakes up in a dark alley, with only a gold watch. With all memory gone and a forgotten name a stranger named Dax takes Christopher in and convinces him that his real name is "Jack." As shreds of memory of a home and a Dad return, Christopher longs to find his Father, but Dax won't allow Christopher to leave his house, and coerces Christopher to question whether reconciliation with his Father is even possible. Christopher escapes Dax, and searches for clues that will lead him to his Dad. Along the way, Christopher meets his forgotten sister Joan. Joan is bitter toward Christopher and refuses to re-introduce him to their Dad. The reason becomes clear as secrets about Christopher's past mistakes unfold. Dax's strange, continuous reappearances, Joan's relentless bitterness, and Christopher's guilt over the hurt he's caused his father lead him to the edge of suicide. Synopsis

Christopher wakes up in an alley, with nothing but a pair of shorts and a gold watch in his pocket. He has lost his memory and forgotten his name. Shreds of memories come back to him, one by one, memories of a home and a Dad. And now Christopher wants only to get back to him.A stranger named Dax takes him in, giving him a place to live, friendship. But Christopher remembers that it was Dax who took the gold watch from him the night he was beaten. Christopher realizes he is locked in Dax's house, and confronts Dax, escapes.Lost in an unfamiliar city, Christopher wanders in search of memories that will lead him home. He rediscovers a relationship with a woman named Joan, who is revealed to be his sister. Christopher eagerly demands that Joan take him back to their Father, but Joan's mind is on the hurt that Christopher caused her and their Father seven years ago.When Christopher lies to Joan about alcohol and drug use, Joan asks him to leave. Christopher finds a Saturday morning job, helping a vendor at a farmer's market. And this way he convinces Joan to let him stay with her once more. Dax's continual, disturbing appearances frazzle Christopher to the point of desperation. More desperate demands that Joan reunite him with their Father leads to a deeper hurt in Joan. And Joan leaves once and for all.At the end of his rope, Christopher seeks out Paul, the farmer's market vendor and friend, to whom Christopher tells the whole truth. Revealing both the desire to reunite with his Father, as well as the evil in his heart, Christopher bares his soul. And Paul listens. He drives Christopher to the Father's house.Dax makes a last attempt to coerce Christopher into choosing him over his Father: Dax threatens to take his own life if Christopher won't resume their friendship. But Christopher leaves Dax to pull the trigger, and when the shot goes off Dax disappears, an apparition all along.Christopher approaches his Father's house with trepidation, but his Father comes running out to him. Though Christopher talks about every evil thing he's done, saying he's not who he was, the Father confirms his identity: "You're my son, Christopher!"
