A girl marries a playboy from a rich family, expecting a life of comfort and luxury. However, her new father-in-law turns his ne'er-do-well son out into the street with no money, and promises the girl that if she can make a man out of her new husband, the father will give her $10,000 and see that she gets a quick divorce.—[email protected]
Dale Carter, an artist's model, is falsely accused of having caused the death of a prominent artist and is unable to get work. She meets Ted Brown, the shiftless playboy son of a wealthy family who has garnered much newspaper attention because of his incidents while under the influence of liquor. Both needing money badly, they devise a plan whereby they can swindle Ted's father. Dals has second thoughts, goes to the father, who offers her $10,000 to marry Ted and make a man out of him, and then get a quick divorce. The unsuspecting Ted marries her and they open up a lunch-wagon/hamburger joint across the street from a factory that has a bad-accident history.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
