Synopsis

In the third episode, Blood Runs Cold, Father Ken Crowe [Bob Glazier] is on a crusade to kill vampires, ever since his daughter Rachel disappeared years ago. It's not like Fr Crowe has a choice in the matter. Some years ago, he was given a message from God, along with a vampire-killing cross made of nails from Christ's crucifixion, that commanded him to take on the work of killing vampires. Unfortunately, this crusade has not won Crowe any favors from the Church, so he's become homeless and has been sleeping in the park. When his longtime friend Father Henry [Mike Levitt] offers him a room at his church, Crowe agrees and moves in. Rachel, who now calls herself "Raven" [Sheyenne Rivers], has always wanted to be a vampire. When Raven meets up with three vampires in a bar and they invite her to party, she is eager to go. However, when the vampires offer Raven a chalice of blood and the high priestess, who goes by the name of "The Dweller" [Trish Dempsey], offers her a chance to become a vampire, Raven begins to have second thoughts. Still, she drinks the blood and allows herself to be bitten by The Dweller. The next morning, the bites on her neck confirm the fact that it wasn't all a dream. When Raven's best friend drops in, Raven can't stop herself from drinking her blood. Raven is devastated that she could kill her best friend. She doesn't think that she is fully turned yet and that there is still time to undo the curse, so she convinces Fr Henry to take her to see her father. Raven pleads with her dad to help her, but Crowe is certain that this is a plan on the part of The Dweller to trick Raven into leading Crowe, along with the vampire-killing cross, to her. He knows that the vampire who possesses the blood of a priest along with the vampire-killing cross would become invincible and would be able to create full vampires. Crowe decides to play along with The Dweller's game. That night, he allows Raven to lead him to The Dweller. As Crowe confronts The Dweller with the cross, Raven suddenly grabs the cross from his hand and uses it to stab The Dweller. When Crowe praises Raven for her role in destroying The Dweller, however, Raven turns her fangs on him. [Synopsis by bj_kuehl]
