After finishing high school, several young couples begin their adult lives in Leningrad. However, they are still bound by their loving and friendly relationships. One of the girls, Tanya, passes the college entrance exam and marries her former schoolmate Fedya, right after the prom. But then she meets a celebrated composer, much older than Tanya, who will fall madly in love with her.
