10-year-old Daigo, labeled "rabbit killer" after killing a sick rabbit, is isolated at home and tutored by his silent sister Kiriko. Their mother died years ago, and their distant father is consumed by his work. One day, while watching a 3D movie, a rabbit appears and leads Daigo into an alternate world through a mysterious rabbit doll. Kiriko sets out to find him.
