A thief nicknamed Pushkin works part-time on Palace Square. He takes photographs with city guests in the image of the Sun of Russian poetry, satisfied tourists receive photos, and "Pushkin" receives the contents of their pockets. But one day everything goes wrong: the thief is caught by the police, and now he faces a decent prison sentence. Unexpected salvation comes from the world of show business - it turns out that the pickpocket is exactly like the lead actor in a large-scale Russian-French film about the life of Aleksandr Sergeevich. So the thief finds himself in the wonderful world of cinema, full of intrigue, props and office romances.
