The magic dragon teaches a boy to believe in his own creative abilities.

Puff tells the story of Terry, a boy with tremendous if esoteric creative talents. However, outside of his parents, no one understands Terry and he is rejected into friendless isolation. In response, Terry creates an imaginary friend named Mr. Nobody who comes to life as a duck he talks to and Terry imagines him to externalize his own talents no one seems to respect. However, as Terry grows up, the boy comes to depend on Nobody with such commitment that his parents' attempt to discourage the habit backfires into Terry imagining Nobody disappearing. Desperate, Terry runs away to find Nobody and Puff arrives to help him. What follows is a magical quest for that imaginary friend through the Fantaverse in which Puff challenges Terry to conquer his fears, see the truth of his talents and find the self- confidence to use them.—Kenneth Chisholm ([email protected])
