The Center for American Progress, in partnership with the Sierra Club, undertook a series of video mini-documentaries that revealed special places held in the public trust that could be threatened by energy development. Wyoming's life blood is energy development, but this film explores the growing backlash against oil and gas companies' desires to drill almost everywhere in the state. We chronicle the fight for a small corner of the Bridger-Teton National Forest called the Noble Basin, where a natural gas company has proposed drilling a 136 wells. But local residents and activists want the place protected for its tremendous hunting, fishing, and scenery, and are waging the fight of their lives to protect their slice of paradise.—Anonymous
