ZUKI, a female serial killer and a highly trained modern day thief is hired by an agency to steal a rare 500-year-old book written in golden ink. As she embarks on her mission, she realizes that the ancient book has a mysterious chemical formula that can lead to the discovery of a single pill that can prevent and cure deadly modern day diseases. The agency that hired the woman intends to auction the billion dollar formula. Top pharmacy companies around the world are ready to snatch the opportunity as the formula is worth 10 billion USD.ZUKI arrives in Kanglei Land, Manipur and assumes the identity of LEONA. She disguises as a tourist and philologist. As she sets out to find the book, she discovers that most of the copies she encounters are fake or incorrect replicas. And even the Maichou (keepers of the ancient texts) who are tasks with safeguarding the rare items are also fake.She meets Thambou, who offers to help her find the real book. Together they travel to a destination where the rare book was kept under the watchful eyes of the highly trained martial arts experts and armed guards - known as the Defenders of the Eastern Edges who are members of an ethnic group called PONGGA. Along the way she also meets Professor Thouba, an expert in ancient scripts. He unwittingly falls in her trap and promised to help her find the golden book and also decipher the ancient texts.ZUKI has rivals named JOHN and NAAK. JOHN disguises as a modern day Christian evangelist while NAAK is a registered THAI language woman teacher in Manipur University. However, no one knows that the two are also hired by a Hong Kong based agency with the same assignment like that of ZUKI's. Their one and only mission is stealing the book. The two could not face ZUKI and fled from Manipur after thrilling encounters.While all the attempts were made to steal, the book came under the custody of THOUBA who is actually a descendant of a great PONGGA monarch.As ZUKI assumes the identity of LEONA, she finds herself struggling with the morality of her actions and the person she is becoming. This inner turmoil is compounded by her growing feelings for THOUBA, causing her to question everything she has ever known about herself. Their relationship deepens as they worked together to uncover the truth about the golden book. When the true identities of THOUBA and ZUKI are revealed, it leads to tragic and heart-wrenching sight.There is an ironical twist in the tale as the story develops. THAMBOU adds humor to the otherwise tense and serious story, acting as a comic relief. But he turns out to be the main hidden antagonist. He was also hired by the Hong Kong agency and their financier. His primary mission being to steal the book in a unsuspecting manner.ZUKI finally kills both THOUBA and THAMBOU in a fierce triangular combat and the book finally is on her hand. She flees towards the MANIPUR-MYANMAR border. On the way, ZUKI was intercepted by an armed group led by JOHN and NAAK. It turns out that this group owe their allegiance to the PONGGA people. NAAK is the daughter of the current chief of the PONGGA. Armed PONGGA guards overpowered ZUKI and she was finally killed and JOHN was left injured in the jungle. Finally, the book is in the save hands of the PONGGA people.
