Near the end of the Greek Civil War two brothers find themselves in opposite sides.
During the 1946-49 Greek Civil War, young brothers Anestis and Vlassis are recruited by opposing sides. Anestis joins the National Army while Vlassis becomes a soldier in the Democratic Army. Fighting in the countryside they grew up in, the boys become increasingly fanatical as the war progresses.
Mount Grammos, 1949. In the waning months of the Greek Civil War, two shepherd brothers who know the region like the back of their hand, 17-year-old Anestis and 15-year-old Vlassis, have no other choice but to provide their services. And as Anestis joins the National Army and Vlassis becomes the newest member of the Democratic Army of Greece, two close-knit siblings find themselves fighting each other on opposite sides of the destructive war.—Nick Riganas
