A wife and mother is sent to prison for a monetary crime. Against the advice of her husband, she tries to raise awareness of the corruption going on there.

Lynn Schaffer is willfully irresponsible once too often, gets fired and refuses a plea-bargain with her employer. She's now convicted and because of this uncooperative attitude gets the maximum sentence, 10 years in a women's jail wing. Model husband Larry, who wasn't informed of her dumb schemes is left running her appeal, the household and spoiled daughter who now feels abandoned. Since most inmates are junkies or prostitutes, sergeant Ed Crang and fellow corrupt jailers can run a 'favors in kind exchange'. For rebels, it gets worse. Larry however has his own radio show, so it all hangs on gathering proof.—KGF Vissers

The above plot summary is obviously written by someone who hates women and does not understand true life. Mrs. Shaffer was not a corrupt person, nor did she scheme to steel money that she had earned for her employer. She simply made an honest mistake. From then on she was labeled a criminal starting with a biased judge which gave her a maximum sentence despite she had never been guilty of another crime. In my mind she should have been given a suspended sentence and ordered to take a class on business ethics and a minor course on laws.so she would have a better understanding of what was legal and was not. Her boss who charged her was certainly an un-thankful pig to ruin her employees life because she had saved him a large amount of money by her ingeniousness, but also paid herself a bonus because of her lack of understanding.
