Mr. Velasco is a successful businessman who, after a risky transaction, loses everything and ends up bankrupt. The former executive will discover the profitable world of the informal economy on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro.

After declaring bankruptcy Mr. Velasco uses all his knowledge to keep the standards of living of his family, hiding this fact at all costs from his wife and children. In order to gain some money he organises the beach's food and drinks sellers, while his family have their own agendas.
