Isaiah Owens is a Gospel musician who is unsure of himself as a guitarist, but steadfast and unwavering in his faith. From his apartment in Montgomery, Alabama to bars and record fairs in New york City, PRAY AND GET READY is a road film of sorts, shadowing Owen's mission from his Pastor to 'reach somebody', as well as his mission to sell some albums. The prognostication by Owens that the world is doomed finds subtle irony as two wars and the contentious 2004 US Presidential election play eerily in the background. Director Tyler Bell's film captures in intimate detail a man who, through his music and travels, meets new friends, discovers new audiences and finds faith in himself. Pray and Get Ready. Time ain't long—Anonymous
