In an unnamed country rife with internal troubles, Narriman, a loyal army colonel, has his conscience pricked into planning a coup d'etat, under the influence of a dissident intellectual.

A group of military officers, angered and frustrated by the corruption and repression of the current government, finally decide that for the good of the country they must overthrow the regime.
