Synopsis

The Holy Metropolys of Nea Ionia, Philadelphia, Heraklion and Chalcedon, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the beginning of the Greek Revolution of 1821, presents an original youth anniversary film, dedicated to the life and sacrifice of the great hero and fighter of 1821, Captain Nikitaras Stamatelopoulos.

The members of the parish theatrical group "The Time Machine" of the Holy Temple of St. Marina, New Philadelphia, in collaboration with the theatrical group "Floga Hellas", play the historical characters of the film adaptation of the play: "Where are you, Nikitaras", in by a screenplay Mrs. Marigo Bouri and directed by Mr. Theodoros Kolovos. And the participation of ten Professional Actors/Actresses.Starring: Panagiotis Arvanitis (in the Role of Nikitaras Stamatelopoulos), with Theodoros Kolovos (in the role of Theodoros Kolokotronis) and Leonardo Thimo (in the Role of Grigorios Dikaios Papaflessas). With Emmanouela Zafeiroudi (in the Role of Katerina Kolokotroni, wife), Angeliki-Anna Boliaki, Maria Drakopoulou, Anastasia Efraimidou, Dimitris Kolovos, , Nektarios Souldatos, Christos Georgiou and Manos Tsivilis (in the role of Sculptors Brothers Lazaros and George Fytalis) .

The year 1821 reminds us all of the fighting, courageous and ruthless soul of the Greek. 200 years later we honor our heroic ancestors who fight for free Greece! We honor the heroes who with their struggles and sacrifices redeemed our nation from terrible slavery and resurrected freedom in our homeland.
