Poraatam focuses on the struggles faced by a community of tribal people who are being displaced from their mountain homes for the personal gains of the greedy government officials.

The tribal girl Semparuthi residing is Mullaiparai Village Tamil Nadu, Ooty tries to meet the district collector and narrate the incidents that happened there.
