Summaries

A poor young man, who bears the surname of a rich shipowner, meets and falls in love with a rich heir. She does not believe that this is a coincidence and their relationship is built on a lie.

On his way to Athens, while carrying a leather suitcase crammed with cash, the conscientious employee, Andreas Monassis, has a chance encounter with Marina Livieratou, a wealthy young woman who's been studying art abroad. As one thing leads to another, Marina becomes convinced that Andreas, even though he denies it, is, in fact, the son of a famous shipping magnate, who is trying to travel incognito. As a result, a whirlwind romance will begin, and as Andreas becomes increasingly impassioned with Marina, keeping up the charade, he finds himself between a rock and a hard place. What happens if Marina discovers that Andreas is working for her self-made industrialist uncle? Would she still love poor but honest Andreas?—Nick Riganas
