In an adaptation of Rex Stout's short story "Before I Die", detective Nero Wolfe (Donatas Banionis) and his legman Archie Goodwin (Sergei Zhigunov) are hired by a powerful mobster to stop a blackmailer and prevent his daughter's identity from being revealed.
