Erling Johansson (1934 - ) is one of Sweden's most famous painters internationally. He was born in Lapland in 1932 in a Laestadian family in the middle of nowhere. In this settler village it was forbidden to paint, sing, listen to music. Erling eventually entered the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and received medal after medal, public decorations alternated with major international exhibitions and Erling also created two films, "Expulsi" and "Anima Mundi", that received some of the highest international awards.—Sveriges konstföreningar
