Podiyaar was a very influential and honest old man living in a farming village with few basic facilities but a healthy environment. After the loss of his eldest son and daughter-in-law, he lives alone with his granddaughter Hamshi. His son and daughter, who have gone to study in the city and settled there after getting married, come to Hamsi's Puberty ceremony. Initially they did not like the village environment, but pretend to like it out of few compulsion and for that they also face many problems.
