Childhood friends Pimala and Jai Rerng have always been opposites, Pimala virtuous, Jai Rerng selfish. After breaking up with Rerk to marry a wealthier man, Jai Rerng divorces and seeks refuge with Pimala, now Rerk’s wife. Though Rerk still resents her, Jai Rerng schemes to win him back. Her seduction succeeds, leading to an affair that Pimala eventually discovers.
