The movie's protagonist is Aoki, a naive, gullible young girl, who strays towards the party life instead of taking her school work seriously. Once as a teenager, in a car with some city boys, she is raped, and the shame felt by her family makes her father beat her and enroll her into a different school. Forced to transfer schools, she then runs away from home and falls into the life of a call girl. As she travels through life looking for meaning the only man who loves her, Toshi, can't get through to her.—Tolani Oyefule
