Summaries

A piece of pine-wood is carved into a puppet by a poor old toy maker. The puppet suddenly comes to life for feeling exciting adventures along with a female wood cricket.

Poor old Geppetto is amazed when the figure he carved out of a piece of wood suddenly comes to life. Pinocchio quickly causes a stir in the whole village. The wooden doll has almost everything that makes a real boy. Most importantly, a healthy appetite and lots of nonsense on your mind. Pinocchio does not always take the truth very seriously. But with every lie his nose gets longer and longer. Pinocchio skips school, moves the director of the puppet theater, Mangiafuoco, to tears and rushes from one adventure to the other. On a fantastic journey, Pinocchio makes the acquaintance of the vixen and the tomcat, two seedy fellows, arrives in the fairy tale wonderland, is transformed into a donkey - and finally finds himself in the belly of a huge fish. He pursues one dream more than anyone else: to finally become a real boy, a boy made of flesh and blood. There are stories that are worth telling. "Pinocchio" is one of them. It is the story of growing up that every generation interprets differently. Everyone knows the wooden figure with the long nose, embarrassed by a lie and yet sympathetic. But how can it even be that a piece of wood comes to life, causes chaos everywhere, skips school and is ultimately even swallowed by a whale.
