In this dazzling, delightful re-imagining of the classic family legend, a playful puppet comes to life and experiences incredible adventures in his struggle to become human.
Geppetto the carpenter carves the object of his hidden desires out of a log: a puppet that will keep him company and be like a son to him. He will call him Pinocchio. Imagine his surprise when he discovers that the puppet moves, as if by magic, and is gifted with a life of its own.—Anonymous
Carpenter Geppetto builds a marionette and names it Pinocchio, but on his numerous adventures the puppet runs into much trouble. Fortunately, the Blue Fairy comes to help, giving him a raven, an owl, and a talking cricket. Pinocchio ends up on the Island of Toys and is transformed into a donkey. After a brave escape, he ends up in the belly of a shark where he saves Geppetto, who was also swallowed by the shark while searching for Pinocchio at sea.
