Phulwanti a graceful dancer is called to Pune to perform for a wedding.Where she comes across a respected scholar Venkat.Before Phulwanti's performance Venkat is felicitated by the emperor and Venkat is about to leave as he has no interest in dance.But Venkat manages to watch Phulwanti's performance when Phulwanti is about to be rewarded she asks emperor for justice as she heard Venkat passing a comment on her calling her a prostitute during her performance.The whole Darbar goes against Phulwanti and Venkat is called back to clear the air to which he agrees on passing the comment on her. But Phulwanti's ego is more important then Venkat's acceptance and puts a challenge in between them that she and Venkat will perform together where he will play the drum and she will dance and if Phulwanti looses she will quit dancing and be Venkat's slave forever.But if Venkat looses he will have to wear her musical ornaments and roam the village.—[email protected]
