Nora, a recent college graduate struggling to adjust to her new life, finds herself in a strange and whimsical world where she meets a cast of zany characters in colorful locations-and learns to confront her grief.
Nora is a recent college graduate living in New York City and struggling to adapt to her new life. One day, she finds herself in a strange and colorful world, first arriving at a blue cafe in which she meets an eccentric waiter and an inquisitive reporter, and makes a coffee for a harsh critic that saves the cafe from closure. After that, she ventures to a strange ice cream shop where she is given a variety of odd ice cream flavors and toppings including worms, feathers, and finally a talking ice cream that gives her words of wisdom. She then goes to a park and has a heartfelt conversion with an old man with dementia. Finally, she finds herself in a yellow library in which the books contain all her memories, and begins to open up and confront her grief with the resident soft-spoken librarian.
