Peter Cook had died in 1995 (aged 57) and this belated special was recorded 29 Sept 2002. The show was not critically acclaimed - partly because of the delay in putting something together but also because the comics were expected to perform Cook's material. Many of them were not comfortable with this and it was the up-and-coming Jimmy Carr who broke ranks and insisted on doing his own gags.
