'Personal Record' details a year in the life of amateur marathon runner Chris Heusiler. Chris, 32, a failed actor turned personal trainer and recent father, has always desired to achieve more. A product of the 'middle-child complex', Chris is shadowed by his four hyper-competitive siblings. Inspired by his hero, Lance Armstrong, Chris decides to train for a year as an elite athlete to run a highly competitive time at the New York City Marathon.
