A vegan, artsy writer in Copenhagen, who left her parents' farm and rural life years ago without looking back, returns for her brother's wedding. She still doesn't fit in but is she partly to blame?

Irina (formerly known as Laura) returns to her hometown for her brother's wedding. For several years now, she has distanced herself from her rural family and established herself as a writer in Copenhagen. She has recently published a book about her miserable youth, where in particular she writes about her former bully Catrine - the same woman who will now marry her brother and become part of her family.
