Successful programmer Alexander Verbov returns home from Canada after 20 years of absence. The reason: a letter with no return address from his daughter Maya, whose existence he never suspected. He is looking for the girl under circumstances which are bringing him to make the major decision of his life: whether to fly back to Canada or permanently stay in his homeland.
