"Peltipurkkiunelmia" is a crime drama spiced with dark humor set in the Finnish countryside. The film addresses complex family relationships, the significance of home, and the question of whether our fate is predetermined.

Mira is released from prison and returns to her hometown, where she lives with her alcoholic father in a mobile home. Upon returning, Mira finds herself in the middle of underworld conflicts and money disputes. At the same time, she has to confront her own past. Meanwhile, a shady private detective and his partner try to make a living through questionable means.
