The story is about a group of criminals who want to take over a small village. This group of criminals has done various bad things in the village. They also terrorize the villagers by imposing a terrifying punishment called "pasung" which is considered to be haunting and can kill anyone who defies their orders. A hero emerges and tries to defend the village.
