Naina Kaur (Neha Pawar) and Maulik (Anuj Saxena) live in a street in Delhi. Maulik is a small time play actor & Naina runs a home food delivery business called "Paranthe Wali Gali". They meet each other & slowly a relationship forms.Maulik is calm & measured. Naina is hot tempered & all over the place (She picks fights even with her customers when they delay payments). Naina supplies her home cooked Paranthe's in Tiffin to all the shops in her locality.Naina meets Maulik for the first time when she argues with his troupe for making too much noise.Maulik works with his fellow actors Tamanna (Ritika Jasmera), Farhaz (Prabhakar Srinet), Vivian (Yuvraj Haral) & Danish (Himanshu Thakkar). Maulik is battling difficult odds to keep his team together.
The auditoriums don't give dates to Maulik as they rent them out for corporate seminars or commercial tuition classes. Even though auditoriums were built on Government land with the promise that they would promote the performing arts.
Slowly Naina (after she joins Maulik's troupe) investigates Maulik's accounts & finds that he is not running the business properly. Naina says that Maulik works on each play for at least 4 months, but then abandons the play after only 1 show. But conducting multiple shows of a play requires a much bigger budget.Naina gives suggestions to improve profitability & introduces Maulik to play organizer Saluja (Vijayant Kohli), who organizes a huge theatre festival in Mandi house. The idea is to run a play for 6 to 7 shows, so that it can pay for itself.
Meanwhile Vivian tells Maulik that he wants to leave the theatre as his family and friends sees no future for himself. Maulik convinces Vivian that life of the performing arts will have many challenges in its path and Vivian will have to decide what he wants from his life.
Naina's mother Rim Jhim Kaur (Biji) (Mohinder Gujral) runs a successful marriage band business & advises Maulik to use Twitter and Facebook for publicity of his plays. Before this, Maulik was sticking posters all over the city to attract an audience for his plays, which was both time consuming and expensive.Biji is also the head of Chandni Chowk cultural association. She helps Maulik to get a spot in Saluja's festival, by giving Saluja a spot in the Chandni Chowk cultural bonanza. Saluja is a pure businessman and doesn't appreciate arts. But he agrees to give Maulik a chance in exchange for a spot in the Chandi Chowk cultural fest.Naina's sister Surili (Jaspreet Kaur) is getting married & Naina asks Maulik & his entire gang to help with the wedding preps (as they are short on manpower and don't have the funds to pay for hired help). The wedding goes without a hitch.
Saluja delivers good news & announces the date of the play on 27th March, 3 months away. The entire gang gets full into rehearsing for the play. Jasmeet (Paropkar Singh) is the owner of the house where Maulik's troupe is practicing for the play.Maulik hasn't paid rent for 4 months and Jasmeet wants the property vacated. Naina sweet talks Jasmeet into accepting a part in the play, in exchange for letting them practice till 27th March. The play is titled "Paranthe Wali Gali". As the group starts to rehearse, Maulik and Naina develop feelings for each other. They start dating.Naina joins the play and starts attending the rehearsals. Meanwhile, Maulik starts learning how to cook Parantha's from Naina.
Maulik puts his hearth & soul into the play, but something changes at the last minute & the play doesn't happen. Maulik is crestfallen & goes into depression.Naina, who had fallen in love with Maulik, also starts neglecting her business. Seeing all this, Biji takes charge & motivates the gang (Vivian, Farhaz and Danish) into organizing the next play on their own. Biji takes on the marketing in her own hands.
Maulik will not listen to anyone, and his home is in a mess. Maulik has torn all his scripts and he tells his group that he has left theatre. Naina convinces Maulik to rejoin rehearsals. Naina makes Maulik realize that Saluja does not control his destiny and that he should be more practical. Biji books an auditorium for the play, and all is set for the grand opening.
Just before the play, Maulik has nightmares about his meeting with Saluja. Saluja had canceled Maulik's play at the last minute as its tickets did not sell. So, Saluja brought in a replacement at the last minute & kicked Maulik out but not before insulting him badly & pouring cold water over him.
Maulik is about to go berserk, when Naina steps in & helps compose Maulik & regain his confidence. Maulik finally embraces Naina and steps onto the stage to take control of his destiny.
