Dhanasekar hires an engineer, to rebuild his ancestral house. When he falls in love with Dhanasekar's niece, Dhanasekar narrates his family's past, which changes his mind to sacrifice his love.

Rajkiran returns to his ancestral village after almost two decades only to find his house in a dilapidated state. While living in a neighbor's house, he approaches an engineer to rebuild his house. Arun Vijay, son of an architect Vijayakumar is an architect himself who specializes in traditional building techniques. He agrees to rebuild their house of their liking. As the construction work progresses, Arun Vijay gets closer to Rajkiran and his family members. He befriends Shamitha, Rajkiran's niece and eventually falls in love with her. When Rajkiran comes to know of this, he reveals the tragic past of his family which forced them out of their own village years ago.—Sriram Vikram
