'Pakhi' is the story of ever decaying human life and complexities of relationships. Every person in the lodge of the Machranga island is going through some crisis. Khuku meets her estranged husband who she holds responsible for her loss of eyesight. Akash the manager encounters his ex-girlfriend who is dissatisfied with her present life. Like the eroding banks of the river there's erosion in everything. But the guests who come to the lodge leave it one day leaving it deserted and to be occupied by someone one. Thus continues the never ending cycle of life and decay.
