David (Maxime Dénommé), alias Padre, has been found in pitiful condition, begging in the streets of Montreal. Relocated in a church in Manitoba, he receives the confessions of penitents there by taking an interest in their humanity rather than in punishment that should be inflicted. Should we forgive everything? Can we steal a thief? Can a pedophile redeem itself? And should violence be a fair punishment? However, no forgiveness seems possible for those who do not face reality. Dealing with spirituality and not religion, Padre is above all a mysterious human drama on redemption.
