After rescuing Professor Augusto Solaris -a stranger who claims to come from the future- from being kidnapped by Ursula Shelley and her soldiers, Pablo Teruel, a well-known journalist and private investigator in 1937's Peru, faces the strangest mystery of his career. A clue in an old manuscript leads them to Huarochiri (a region in the central Andes) but when Pablo and Solaris return home they discover that Alberto, Pablo's father, has been kidnapped, presumably by Shelley and her men. Adventure ensues and Pablo, accompanied by his estranged wife, Marilú, and Solaris, will follow the clue in order to find Alberto and to help the Professor find the way home - But Shelley is on their heels, trying to stop them at all cost.
