Depicts a family's move with their reindeer herd, from the winter pasture in the Luleå archipelago, Sweden, to the calving country in Badjelánnda. The move takes place on paved roads in agricultural countryside, along marshes and lakes through the woodland, across mountain ranges west of Jokkmokk. Life in the summer season with calf markings, slaughter, fishing in Norway with the Blue mans ice as backdrop, the December move at Sulidälbma, where a reindeer herd of 4000 animals is driven down for separation, is interspersed with beautiful scenery and pictures of some of Laplands most rare animals and plants.—Ulf Kjell Gür
