A Holocaust survivor heads for America where she dreams of starting a new life, but finds it difficult to put the past behind her, especially when she's forced to relive the nightmare of Auschwitz.

Based on a true story, this heart-wrenching film follows the journey of Gisella Perl (Christine Lahti), a Jewish-Hungarian doctor who manages to survive Auschwitz.
