A troubled soldier falls in love with the widow of his former commander.

The elite Army paratrooper Sergeant Donny Cluff redeploys from Afghanistan. His leadership allows him to return home before the end of his tour in order to marry his pregnant girlfriend. Upon his arrival back at Fort Bragg, Donny meets an officer's wife and is shocked to find out that his beloved Commander was killed. The beautiful widow, half-French and half-Arabic, is a fish out of water in the military installation. Her name is Roxanna. Donny helps her get to the airport and catch her flight back to her home country. Years later, Roxanna returns to the United States with a new American fiancee and she meets Donny again. Only Donny this time is different breed of man. Medically discharged from the Army, Donny suffers with PTSD and a terrible addiction problem. Half of the time, he has hallucinations about his former Commander, with whom he talks in moments of loneliness. Donny begs the Spirit of his former Commander for an order to kill a drug dealer. Chased by vengeful drug dealers and by corrupt cops, Donny has to find a way to protect the only woman who loves him - Roxanna.
