After a virus called the Vidance wipes out all knowledge of the sciences, an arts academy called the Opus is established, where students take classes and perform in their chosen art to provide the world with electrical and mechanical energy. Vincent Jackson, an aloof painter, is hopelessly in love with a cook, Julia Gordon - who is dating his arch-nemesis, Michael Barrish. Dozens of motivated art students find themselves in hilarious situations time and time again, until things take a dark turn as discoveries are made that may reveal the real, secret reason behind the creation of the Opus Academy.
