Summaries

On May 29th, 2014, seven-month-old David Bingenheimer died while he and his father, Daniel Bingenheimer waited to cross at an intersection during a morningly stroll when a distracted driver driving a sedan ran through a red light, hitting a pickup truck that ended up killing David and injuring his father. Open Your Eyes is a film to help spread awareness and show the dangers and costly actions that come with distracted driving.

Grace is sitting in her stroller that is being pushed by her father as the two are walking near AT&T Stadium. Brittany is driving her friend, Ashley to their school's graduation ceremony which is happening at the stadium. Ashley is doing her makeup while Brittany is texting her friend. As she and her father crossed the street, Grace waves at the woman who is in her car, waiting to drive. Ashley tells Brittany to look out as she is about to hit the woman's car, swerving to a different lane to avoid her car and struck Grace and her father. Ashley and the little girl's father were injured however, Grace was killed in her stroller. The man who survived came across the street to cradle his daughter and scream for help. The woman who was waiting on the road, had to get out and help the injured father by calling for an ambulance. Brittany was crying as he carried Grace over to her car and yelled, "Look what you did. Look what you did. Look what you did to my baby. You took her away from me. You took her away from me!" Fortunately, an ambulance heard in the background came in to help Grace's father.
