Synopsis

In the spring, Elliot has grown impressive new antlers and is preparing to marry Giselle. However, an accident cracks his antlers, leaving him upset and insecure. Elliot believes the cracked antlers are a sign of bad luck. During the wedding ceremony, Ian's remarks further shake Elliot's confidence, making him question whether he's ready for marriage. Meanwhile, Mr. Weenie discovers a trail of dog biscuits left by his previous owners and follows it. At the height of the wedding, Elliot sees Mr. Weenie being taken away by his old owners, Bob and Bobbie. Convinced that Bobbie mistreats Mr. Weenie-misinterpreting her overbearing affection as abuse-Elliot tells a dramatic story to the other forest animals and proposes a rescue mission. Secretly, he also hopes to delay the wedding until his antlers grow back. Boog, Elliot, Giselle, McSquizzy, Buddy, Serge, and Deni join the mission, led by Boog.

Meanwhile, Bob and Bobbie's friends and their pets are en route to Pet Paradiso, a luxurious resort for humans and their pets. Among the pets are Fifi, a pompous toy poodle, his basset hound friend Roberto, two cats named Stanley and Roger, and two Southern dogs, Rufus and Charlene. Fifi expresses his disdain for wild animals, blaming them for an incident involving a bug zapper. He attempts to attack a rabbit but is stopped by his owner.

The forest animals track Mr. Weenie to a gas station where Bob and Bobbie have stopped. They manage to free him from his chains, but due to Elliot's impulsiveness, Mr. Weenie ends up stuck inside the RV along with Buddy. Frustrated, Giselle argues with Elliot and leaves to search for Mr. Weenie alone, while Serge and Deni scout from above.

Bob and Bobbie arrive at the pet resort with Mr. Weenie and Buddy. There, the pets welcome Mr. Weenie, but Fifi attempts to "rehabilitate" him into fully embracing his life as a pet. Mr. Weenie resists, and Buddy aids in his escape. In the process, Fifi accidentally activates a shock collar on himself, burning his fur and driving him into a vengeful frenzy.

Serge and Deni return to the wilds, reporting that they found Mr. Weenie and Buddy at the resort. The group realizes they must infiltrate Pet Paradiso. Meanwhile, Buddy and Mr. Weenie reunite with Elliot in the woods and convince him to join the rescue mission for their friends.

The wilds disguise themselves as pets to sneak into Pet Paradiso. Giselle and McSquizzy pose as a dalmatian and a chihuahua, while Boog initially tries to disguise himself as a cat before settling on a sheepdog. Elliot pretends to be Boog's human owner. Once inside, Giselle and McSquizzy search for Mr. Weenie but are captured by Fifi and his gang and taken to their hideout beneath the resort's water slide. Elliot, Buddy, and Mr. Weenie try to rescue them, but Mr. Weenie, tempted by the allure of being a pet again, gets distracted by the water slide. Elliot and Buddy are captured while Boog chases after Mr. Weenie.

At the hideout, Fifi plans to eliminate the wilds using a pile of shock collars. Boog's cover is blown as he tries to stop Mr. Weenie, prompting resort security to tranquilize him. Before Fifi can carry out his plan, Elliot interrupts, admitting he's been avoiding his feelings and confessing his love for Giselle. Giselle, however, scolds him for abandoning her at the altar and using the rescue mission as an excuse.

As Fifi attempts to activate the shock collars, Boog enters through the water slide, causing a flood that flushes everyone out of the hideout. A chaotic battle ensues between the pets and the wilds, while Boog cleverly tricks security into tranquilizing themselves. Elliot manages to rescue Giselle and wrestles Fifi in the pool for the remote. Fifi activates the shock collars, but Elliot has attached them all to Fifi instead. The resulting electrocution leaves Fifi bald and humiliated.

In the aftermath, the pets and wilds make peace, and Mr. Weenie, embracing his life as a pet, happily reunites with his owners. Back in the woods, Elliot sincerely professes his love for Giselle, and the two finally tie the knot.
