The main hero of the film - Pavel Petrovich Nasonov - is one of the five million Red army soldiers captured by the Germans during the World War II. In October 1941 he was captured near Vyazma and was detained in concentration camps until his liberation by the Americans in April 1945. How does it feel - to live in the enemy's camps, without any hope to return back home, to live in fear and perpetual humiliation, when your life is worth nothing for your captors... We will try to enter the inner world of the person for whom the burden of everyday worries lost all of its importance, leaving only one goal - to survive...—Anonymous
