When a once semi-successful rugby player opens a new restaurant, his friends come to celebrate his success. But after one too many vodkas and a few too many truth-bombs, illusions are shattered and friendships are tested.

A group of close university friends get together to celebrate the opening of Mxo's new restaurant, M.X.O's on 4th. Throughout the evening the pressure on the hidden secrets between them surmounts to breaking point. M.X.O's super rugby contract will not be renewed because of his shoulder injury, but he has not found a way to break the news to his wife, Lerato, yet. Lerato carries a secret of her own, but somehow Trevor knows and not her husband, Mxo's. Brian, Funi and their 10-year-old boy seem like the perfect family at first, but their secret can also no longer stay hidden. As the night progresses, insecurities surface, secrets burst out and relationships face the ultimate test. And just when it seems the evening can't get any worse, the 10-year-old disappears. Forcing the group of friends to put aside their newfound differences. As the new day dawns, their futures are unclear, but their pasts - maybe they're finally okay with.—Johan Cronje
