A fighter with a heart of gold finds himself drawn into an Internet-streaming underground martial arts tournament.
Mike Schneider (Mike Moeller), a well meaning if hot-tempered fighter, finds himself drawn into the world of organized underground martial arts fights. The fights are streamed on the internet and his online fan-base soon swells, much to the delight of the unscrupulous promoters controlling the fights.
Mike wins fight after fight, including an intense duel against Li, the wise owner of a local Chinese restaurant, who is also a Kung Fu Master and he also faces an unwanted ghost from his past - his estranged father who seeks him out when his popularity is at an all-time high. He is also constantly harassed by an obsessive detective who is convinced that Mike is headed for a life of crime, and intends to catch him in the act.
But after one fight spirals out of control, resulting in Mike being stabbed. He is admitted to hospital where he comes under the care of a beautiful nurse. As Mike slowly recovers he is visited by Li who starts him down a more spiritual path, and helps him start to channel his energy in a more positive way.
When Mike is finally well enough to leave the hospital he tells the promoters that he intends to quit fighting to work in Li's restaurant and make a life for himself and the nurse who have come together during his recovery.
The promoters, however, have other ideas and they start sending fighter after fighter after Mike, who soon finds his life is on the line for the entertainment of the viewers streaming the fights across the internet.
